Learning to play games are games that are focused on entertainment. These games can, and often do, teach their players something, but the purpose is fixated solely on being entertaining. While a player may learn about geometric concepts while playing through "Minecraft", "Minecraft" is not a game that was designed to teach players geometry. For the purposes of the workshop, we focused on "Machinarium": a flash-based webgame that gave very little in the way of tutorial but was fairly uncomplicated as players began to integrate into the game world. It escalated slowly and allowed players to adjust before presenting new challenges that would, as a side benefit, help improve the player's problem solving abilities.
